Random vector idea. vectorised a hand print i did and manipulated some drips. the symbol thing is just a random idea i came up with and the text is from James shirley's The contention of Ajax and Ulysses. the background is scanned from an encyclopedia stuff about blood (seemed relevent)
You put the artistic content level pretty high, with these fascinating ideas! The text explains itself to anyonewith some brains <unlike miself >
Grade A+++
(you need some advertising for yourself,*laughs and then shames* pretty ironic: you made me and many other fellow deviants well-known but your stuff aren't commented nor viewed by as many people as i'd expect)
bro, dont dis urself u got the brains, illustrator takes alot of thought!
thanks for the respect.
as for the views and comments, im not really bothered if people do comment or not. to be honest if only the few that watch me comment and really like my work and get some form of inspiration from that then im happy. I do see DA as a community but I dont see it as a popularity contest. there are artists out there whose work is just a couple of doodles who get hundreds of P.Vs a day and that's fine. but what is annoying is when people fav something just becoz of it genre not coz its quality. there are certain groups who just watch each other and they increase the groups views and they dont care about much else. which is y im a lil cynical of joining any communities within DA (and dont really intend to). im here for me to show others what i think about and how i feel in a visual way, that's all! i did try going round looking at loads of other deviants in a hope to get a lil notice and shit like that but not much happened. so i stopped that.
enuff? or too much?
peace out, bro
(christ, i dont half waffle on!)
ooh now that is good, really really good, I have to fav this, I know I've favd quite alot of your work, but its too good.
Well done
P.S
How do start off with the basics of vector, on illustrator?
..Know any good tutorials...I just want to experiment with different things instead of manipulating.

erm... the illustator prog usually has a tutorial in the help section. or look into the adobe website its under the help or support (maybe even tutorials, they do in depth stuff on how to create various forms and images.) the computer arts mags are pretty good too. (but cost a fair bit!)
alot of the stuff on 'glory' is really simple stuff.
quick walk thru. the text is self explanatory choose font and type. the hand print is done by taking an image and using the cutout tool in photoshop (filters>artistic>cutout) this breaks apart the image so it in flat colour. save that and place it in illustrator then use the trace tool to get the shape u want. the symbol was dont by using the shape tools and and breaking up the shapes, then joining the outlines with the pen tool (essential in vectoring) and using a compound path to create the gap in the middle of the symbol. use the transparency for a desired effect. and the background was a just a straight scan.
..Thank you that was very in depth, an quick lighting response!... I'll make some time once my PC's fixed an hve a go, nice one Wardy = munky hug for you.

Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
